These paintings are inspired by the elements, the wild and ever changing weather and the colour of the coastlines of Britain, Ireland & beyond.

Some paintings are of views which can stretch for miles and some (such as the water paintings) are of a microcosm of that same view.

I also enjoy the challenge of changing scale, sometimes painting huge, almost same size pictures of the water surface, or perhaps a tiny painting in just a few brush and palette knife marks of a distant horizon.

The paintings are an attempt to re-create in oils and acrylics, the fleeting nature of the effects of the elements upon the landscape.
