The Phoenix Public House in St Judes is a listed building under the glass walkway to the car park in Bristol's new Cabot Circus development.

The hostelry, very much a traditional pub, has existed since the early 1800s and this project celebrates the local people who love it, some of whom have been 'regulars' for decades and have lived through the changes to the neighbourhood.

A series of photographic portraits capturing the characters of the many and varied locals culminates in an exhibition within The Phoenix from Saturday August 2nd 2008.

The project is the brainchild of artist/designer Howard Moses
with the collaboration of photographer Peter Netley.
